Rugby is one of the most physical contact sports in the world and is played with little to no protective equipment. The physical nature of the game places great demands on the athletic preparedness of its players to hit, block, tackle, or evade opponents. Players need STRENGTH and SIZE to produce MAXIMAL POWER for blocking and pushing during a scrum, “ruck” or “maul”, and SPEED, QICKNESS, and POWER for jumping and competing for the ball in a “line-out” or “throw-in”. In open field play athletes need SPEED, POWER, QUICKNESS and AGILITY to evade and break through tacklers, block and tackle opponents, and kicking and throwing skills.
What sets the Top players like Brian O'Driscoll,Richie McCaw, Fourie du Preez and Dan Carter apart from the competition? “The Game Breaking Abilities” of MAXIMUM POWER, SPEED, AGILITY, and POWER ENDURANCE - at levels well above the competition. At Athletes Nation we have the experience and expertise to help you develop these abilities whether you are a novice athlete just beginning to train or a seasoned professional looking for a competitive edge.
